Eversheds advises Anchor on largest care home acquisition in recent years

Eversheds has advised Anchor, England’s largest not-for-profit provider of housing and care for older people, on acquiring 29 care homes in the UK.

In the first transaction, Anchor acquired 24 care homes across the North and Midlands in a deal worth more than £100m from LNT Group.

Separately, Anchor has also acquired the UK Cavendish Healthcare Group business including five residential care homes in Essex and Suffolk.

The deals have increased Anchor’s property portfolio to 119 care homes.

Eversheds advised on all legal aspects of the acquisitions.
