Eversheds has advised global company Applus Servicios Tecnológicos SLU on the acquisition of UK based Caparo Testing Technologies.

The deal for the non-destructive testing (NDT) business and assets further strengthens Applus+’ presence in the aerospace industry.

Applus+, headquartered in Barcelona, is one of the world’s leading testing, inspection and certification company with over 20,000 employees operating in more than 70 countries. The company provides solutions for customers in all types of industries to ensure that their assets and products meet quality, health & safety and environmental standards and regulations.

Caparo Testing Technologies is one of the few NDT companies specialising in the aerospace industry in the UK. The team consists of over 76 professionals, four laboratories in the Midlands and the south of England, and two more co-locations embedded within customers’ own manufacturing facilities. The business will join the Applus+ Energy & Industry division.

The team advising on the deal was led by partner Steven Hacking and included Chris Birch, Karine Kirlew and Sarah Reynolds.
