Eversheds advises Leeds University on £62.3m student accommodation deal

Law firm Eversheds has advised the University of Leeds on its £62.3m acquisition of Phases 1 and 2 Central Village, Calverley Street, Leeds which completed in September 2014.

Phases 1 and 2 comprise 980 high quality student rooms arranged in flats of 5 and 6 units, together with a small ratio of studios. The scheme is arranged in 4 properties and includes a new convenience store let to Tesco. The properties have recently been developed by Downing and are located close to Leeds city centre, adjoining the University’s main teaching campus.

The Eversheds team was led by Principal Associate Tracy Gibson.
