Global law firm Eversheds has advised the shareholders of over-the-counter (OTC) remedy manufacturer Thornton & Ross in connection with the disposal of the entire issued share capital of the company and its subsidiaries to quoted German generic drug manufacturer, Stada Group.
Founded in 1922, Thornton & Ross Ltd is the largest independent OTC pharmaceutical manufacturer in the UK and exports to over 80 countries worldwide. Its product portfolio encompasses a large number of well-known OTC brands such as Covonia, Hedrin and Setlers, as well as the UK's leading disinfectant Zoflora.T
The Eversheds team was led by Corporate and M&A partners Robin Johnson and Charles Reynard together with Simon Procter, Elizabeth Shepherd, Brett Rowland and Simon Evans. Stada used their in house M&A team.
