Eversheds Sutherland (International) has advised Capita plc (Capita) on the £888 million sale of its Asset Services division to Link Group.
Capita, a UK leader in technology-enabled business process management and outsourcing solutions, and longstanding client of the international law firm, has undertaken the sale process to reduce indebtedness and to allow the group to fully focus on the pursuit of what it does best: continuing to deliver outstanding services to clients and customers.
The Eversheds Sutherland (International) team was led by M&A Partner Jon Cox-Brown, supported by M&A Partners Nigel Cooke and Chris Halliday. The team included Partner Richard Prowse (commercial), Principal Associate Rachel Cooper (commercial), Senior Associates Vanessa Challenger (HR), Richard Johnson (Tax), and Tom Milburn (M&A), and Associates Elizabeth Blackwell (corporate), Aaron Hulston (commercial), and Peter Mchugh (corporate).
Jon Cox-Brown, Eversheds Sutherland (International), comments:
“We are continuing to advise on large transactions for significant clients and there are clear signs that, for good assets, the M&A market remains positive. This transaction is the perfect example of that. We are delighted to have supported Capita in achieving its strategic goals.”
Ian West, Group M&A Director, Capita plc, comments:
“Eversheds Sutherland (International) has played a key role in getting this deal across the line for us, delivering high quality legal work, fantastic responsiveness and real drive. Their technical expertise, global capability and knowledge of our business make them an excellent partner for legal advice.”
