Hong Kong – Paul Hastings LLP, a leading global law firm, announced today that it represented FountainVest Partners (“FountainVest”), a leading China-focused private equity firm, in a joint venture with global sports, fashion, and entertainment talent management company WME-IMG, together with venture capital and private equity firm Sequoia Capital China, and Chinese internet service provider Tencent. The joint venture will enable WME-IMG to accelerate the growth of its existing Chinese business and embark on new initiatives for their clients and partners.

Paul Hastings has advised FountainVest on several key transactions over the past few years, including on the sale of its shares in the Hong Kong IPO of IMAX China, and on the US$223 million Series C round fundraising by Fangdd.com (Fang Duo Duo), one of China’s top online real estate trading platforms.
