Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer has advised Cinven and The Gondola Group on the sale of the ASK Italian and Zizzi restaurant brands to Bridgepoint.

The transaction represents Cinven’s exit from its investment in Gondola, following the sales of the Byron restaurant brand in 2013 and of the PizzaExpress brand earlier this year. Freshfields has advised Cinven and Gondola on all three transactions. .

Total consideration for the transaction was £250 million.

The Freshfields team was led by corporate partner Adrian Maguire, with partner Helen Lethaby leading on tax matters.
