Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP (“Freshfields”) has advised leading cloud-based computing services provider Cloudreach, a company majority-owned by Blackstone Tactical Opportunities, in connection with its acquisitions of Emerging Technology Advisors, LLC (“ETA”) and a majority stake in Philadelphia-based cloud computing analytics company Cloudamize Inc. (“Cloudamize”).
 
ETA is a professional services business with significant strength in digital and corporate development initiatives, such as machine learning, blockchain and the development of serverless architecture. Cloudamize is a software-enabled computer services business that uses analytics and automation to improve cloud infrastructure and deployment decisions.
 
The deals bring together complementary businesses with a wide breadth of expertise in cloud consulting, managed services and cloud enabling software. The combined entity will have a major foothold in North America and the UK, as well as a presence in six other markets.
