Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer ("Freshfields") has advised on the US$150m IPO of Inner Mongolia Energy Engineering Co., Ltd. ("Inner Mongolia Energy Engineering"). The firm acted as Hong Kong and US legal counsel to the underwriters China International Capital Corporation Hong Kong Securities Limited and BOCI Asia Limited. The shares commenced trading on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange on 18 July 2017.

Inner Mongolia Energy Engineering is the first Chinese state-owned enterprise from Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region to list on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. Inner Mongolia Energy Engineering provides energy infrastructure construction services. The company mainly offers power construction project   planning, surveying, design, and engineering contracting services.  It is also a large comprehensive power industry solutions provider in China, focusing on power grid and new energy projects. It provides a comprehensive range of solutions, including survey, design and consultancy, construction contracting and maintenance and overhaul services to serve the full life-cycle of power projects and the entire value chain of the power engineering industry.
