Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP has advised Mast-Jägermeister on its definitive agreement to acquire the Sidney Frank Importing Company (SFIC), the New York-based alcohol brands distributor.

International law firm Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP has advised Mast-Jägermeister on its definitive agreement to acquire the Sidney Frank Importing Company (SFIC), the New York-based alcohol brands distributor.

Mast-Jägermeister is a privately held corporation based in Wolfenbüttel, Germany. Its flagship product, the herb-flavored 70-proof liqueur Jägermeister, was brought to market in 1935, and was introduced to the US in 1980 through a partnership with SFIC.

The Freshfields deal team was led by partner and US corporate group head Matthew Herman and global co-head of public M&A Christoph Seibt, with support from corporate associates Justin Rosenberg, Adrian Von Prittwitz, Erika Winkler and Maria Sidoli.
