Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP (‘Freshfields’) has advised Trivium Investment Limited, a company controlled by funds from global private equity firm Permira, on its acquisition of Tricor Holdings Limited (‘Tricor’), the leading provider of integrated business, corporate and investor services in Asia Pacific. Tricor was founded in 2000, has over 2,000 staff and has a network of offices in 37 cities across 20 countries and territories.
The transaction was signed on 5 October 2016 following a sale process run by the sellers, The Bank of East Asia, Limited and NWS Holdings Limited. The total consideration for the acquisition is HK$6,470m (US$835m), including at least HK$400m (approximately US$50m) in cash acquired as part of the transaction.
Completion of the transaction is subject to the satisfaction of certain regulatory closing conditions.
