Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer (‘Freshfields’) has advised the sponsors on the spin-off of Wharf Real Estate Investment Company Limited (‘Wharf REIC’) from The Wharf (Holdings) Limited (‘Wharf’) and Wharf REIC’s separate listing by way of introduction on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.  The transaction was implemented by way of a distribution in specie of the shares in Wharf REIC to the Wharf shareholders.

Wharf REIC is an owner and operator of premium quality investment properties in Hong Kong and its flagship properties, Harbour City and Times Square, occupy leading market positions among commercial properties in Hong Kong.
