Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer (‘Freshfields’) has advised on two significant listings this week by tech company, Razer Inc., and fintech company, Yixin Group Limited, on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.
Razer is the leading global lifestyle brand for gamers with the motto “For Gamers. By Gamers”. Razer offers an integrated portfolio of gaming hardware, software and services to gamers. Razer’s IPO was very significantly over-subscribed and raised IPO proceeds of US$530 million, which are intended to be used by Razer to, among others, develop new verticals in the gaming and digital entertainment industry and finance acquisitions to expand its ecosystem. The Freshfields team was led by partners Grace Huang and David Ludwick.
Yixin Group is the largest online automobile retail transaction platform in China and facilitates automobile purchase transactions by consumers and auto loans to consumers by its auto finance partners and also provides consumers with auto finance solutions. Its controlling shareholder is NYSE-listed Bitauto Holdings Limited and its other significant shareholders include Tencent and JD.com. Yixin Group’s IPO was very significantly over-subscribed and raised IPO proceeds of US$865 million, which are intended to be used by Yixin Group to, among others, implement sales and marketing initiatives to support the geographical expansion of its auto dealer cooperative network and enhance its research and technology capabilities.
