Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP (‘Freshfields’) has advised Anheuser-Busch InBev, the world’s largest brewer and owner of the Budweiser, Stella Artois and Corona brands, on its £79 billion merger with SABMiller. The merger completed on Tuesday 11 October 2016.
The combined company will have operations in virtually every major beer market and an expanded portfolio that includes global, multi-country and local brands, providing more choices for consumers around the world.
The project was unique due to its huge scale and global reach and demonstrated Freshfields’ ability to work seamlessly across borders.
