GÖRG advises Real I.S. in connection with the acquisition of the office and commercial complex "Charlottenstraße 13" in Berlin

22 Mar 2017

GÖRG Partnerschaft von Rechtsanwälten mbB advised Real I.S. during the acquisition of the office and commercial complex Charlottenstraße 13/Corner Rudi-Dutschke-Straße 18 in Berlin. The complex was sold by Barings Real Estate Adviser on behalf of a special purpose entity belonging to an English investor. A team from GÖRG, led by Jan Lindner-Figura and including in particular Mr Silvio Sittner, provided support to Real I.S. in relation to legal due diligence and in negotiating the purchase contract.

The premises in Berlin is a six-story building that was built in 1931. It was renovated in 2000 and 2001 and expanded through the addition of the part of the building on Rudi-Dutschke-Straße. The building has a total rental area of approximately 2,700 m2 and is located in the historic media quarter between Potsdamer Platz and Gendarmenmarkt. The complex covers 8,300 m2 of office space and approximately 1,100 m2 of retail space. It offers approximately 1,500 m2 of storage space and three parking spaces.

The purchase of the building by Real I.S is one of many transactions that are currently a feature of the German real estate market. GÖRG regularly advises clients on the acquisition and disposal of larger office complexes and shopping centres. Among recent transactions has been the acquisition of the “Neue Mitte Fürth” shopping centre and the sale of an office and commercial complex in the “Pelikanviertel” in Hannover.
