HealthNet Homecare acquires Biodose Services

Irwin Mitchell advises on the deal

Leeds-based HealthNet Homecare Ltd has acquired Total Medication Management Services Ltd from AIM listed pharmaceutical developer, manufacturer and supplier, Quantum Pharma Plc.

HealthNet Homecare, is part of the Lexon (UK) group, and has bought the business which trades as Biodose Services to help accelerate the growth of its homecare services.

Lexon (UK), which has its head office in Redditch, has been operating in the healthcare sector for almost 30 years, starting with retail pharmacy and then moving into wholesale distribution in 1995.

In addition to its 54 retail pharmacies the Group now has three distribution sites in the UK, based in Redditch, Leeds and Durham, from where they currently supply over 1,500 independent pharmacies with a range of over 8,000 products lines on a daily basis.

Nick Dawson, Corporate partner at Irwin Mitchell in Birmingham along with Nick Little, advised Lexon (UK) on the transaction. Commenting on the deal, Nick said: “We are delighted to have advised on this important acquisition for HealthNet.
