Herbert Smith Freehills has advised KKR-backed Genesis Care Pty Limited, Australia's largest provider of radiotherapy services on its recent acquisition of Cancer Partners UK Limited. Cancer Partners is the UK's leading private provider of radiotherapy services and operates a network with 8 highly equipped cancer treatment centres around the United Kingdom.
Working closely with firm's Sydney office, the London deal team led by M&A Partner Gavin Davies and Senior Associate Chris Gill advised Genesis Care on all aspects of the transaction from the establishment of a new UK holding structure to the capitalisation of the purchasing entity and execution of the acquisition. Berwin Leighton Paisner acted for the selling shareholders.
