Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek supports Heidelberg in acquiring Fujifilm business units

Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG (Heidelberg) takes over the varnish and pressurized chemicals business from Fujifilm Europe B.V. A team led by Munich-based partners Dr. Ulrich Jork and Dr. Helge-Torsten Wöhlert of the business law firm of Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek advised Heidelberg comprehensively on the transaction. The acquisition of the two business units is part of the company's growth strategy.

As part of the transaction, the German production site in Reutlingen and the Belgian production site in Kruibeke will be taken over. A total of some 70 people are employed at the two sites. The transaction also includes the acquisition of assets in Spain, Sweden, and Finland. By investing in consumables, Heidelberg is pursuing its growth strategy to offer a comprehensive range of services. The acquisition is expected to be closed by July 2017.

Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG is a supplier to the global printing industry. The company's portfolio includes equipment, service, and consumables. Heidelberrg employs about 11,500 people worldwide.
