The corporate team at international commercial law firm Hill Dickinson has advised Caldic (UK) Ltd on the acquisition of Elastomerics Limited, a prominent specialty chemicals distributor based in Macclesfield.
Elastomerics specialises in the distribution of polymers and additives to the surface coatings, plastics and rubber, and adhesives and sealants industries. With strong formulation back-up and technical support, the British chemicals distributor is a great asset to Caldic’s current activities.
In the UK, Caldic has a strong presence in base chemicals, which are being supplied from its distribution centres in Chesterfield, Derbyshire and Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire. As well as an established speciality chemicals and food ingredients divisions, Caldic also offers solutions in health and personal care, refinery chemicals, and other industrial markets.

The Elastomerics business will continue to be run out of its existing base in Cheshire, ensuring continuity in the key relationships with suppliers and customers.
