Hill Dickinson has acted for IT services and software development company Samarind Limited on the disposal of its Networks division to IT infrastructure and services group Brighter Connections.
Hill Dickinson corporate partner Ian Riggs and associate James Down advised Samarind Limited on the transaction with employment advice provided by partner David Parry.
The acquisition is expected to add extra depth and market reach, and will enable the two organisations to service a broader demographic and provide a more complete offer to clients.
The Samarind Networks team will continue to work from their base in Chester, though its service offerings will now also be replicated and supplied out of Brighter Connections' Huddersfield facility.
The sale allows Samarind Limited to focus on its software division, which is growing rapidly due to the continuing success of its life sciences software solution ‘Samarind RMS’.
Samarind Networks specialises in managed services, both remote and on-premise, client hosting, remedial maintenance, disaster recovery and cloud service provision.
