Hill Dickinson has advised the shareholders of Boweld Truck Bodies on its sale to German-based manufacturer Meiller.
Boweld is a Deeside-based manufacturer of steel tipping bodies and auxiliary equipment for trucks. The company, which supplies the commercial motor industry in the UK, has been acquired by Meiller for an undisclosed sum.
Boweld's Holywell site, together with all employees, will be retained and integrated into the Meiller network.
Former owners George and Austin Boden will remain in place as managing directors.
Daniel Böhmer, chief executive of Meiller, said: "With their excellent know how, reputation and loyal customer base Boweld provides us with excellent access to the UK's strong rigid tipper market.
"We very much welcome the decision of George and Austin Boden to stay on board as directors and to join the Meiller management team."
George Boden, Boweld founder and managing director, added: "We deliberately chose Meiller because of its excellent market reputation and because we can rely on its promises in the long term. Meiller will make additional investments and ensure the future development of our company. This illustrates the strong belief in a successful future of Boweld."
Hill Dickinson corporate partner Ian Riggs and associate Sean Lightfoot acted for the shareholders of Boweld.
