Hogan Lovells acts in the sale of two telecoms operators to America Movil's Peruvian unit

30 May 2016

A team of Hogan Lovells lawyers led by corporate partner, Derek Meilman, has advised Metsanco Limited (Metsanco) and its affiliates in the sale of Olo Del Peru S.A.C. (Olo) and TVS Wireless S.A.C. (TVS), two telecommunications operators in Peru, to América Móvil Perú S.A.C., a subsidiary of América Móvil, S.A.B. de C.V. (América Móvil).
América Móvil is the fourth largest mobile network operator and one of the largest corporations in the world. Through its Peruvian unit, it has entered into a stock purchase agreement with Metsanco and its affiliates to acquire 100% shares of the capital stock of Olo and TVS.

The Hogan Lovells team was led by partner Derek Meilman, a cross-border M&A specialist, working from the Hogan Lovells London and New York offices. Derek was supported by London based senior associate, Oliver Wilson.

The share deal is subject to certain conditions being met. Olo and TVS provide telecommunications services throughout Peru and hold radio spectrum in the 2.5 GHz band.
