Hogan Lovells advised Naver, Korea's leading Internet company, in relation to its acquisition of the Xerox Research Centre Europe located in Grenoble. The agreement is expected to close in the third quarter of 2017.
Founded in 1993, the Xerox Research Centre Europe has focused its research in artificial intelligence, machine learning, computer vision, natural language processing and ethnography. In addition to a strong foothold in Europe, Naver expects to generate significant synergies from this acquisition.
