Hogan Lovells advises Banco do Brasil in senior notes offering and tender offer

Hogan Lovells has advised Banco do Brasil S.A., one of the largest financial institutions in Latin America, in its issuance of US$750 million of senior unsecured notes under its euro medium term note programme (EMTN). The transaction was priced on April 12th and settled on April 19th.

The Hogan Lovells team was led by partners Evan Koster, who is based in New York, and Isabel Costa Carvalho, who is based in in São Paulo. Other team members include counsel David Contreiras Tyler in New York, associate Paula Pagani in São Paulo and visiting international attorney Renato Villaca Di Dio in New York.

The same Hogan Lovells team also advised Banco do Brasil with respect to a concurrent tender offer whereby Banco do Brasil purchased US$600 million of its outstanding perpetual subordinated notes. The tender offer was concluded on April 16th.

Hogan Lovells previously advised Banco do Brasil in its issuance of US$1.0 billion of senior unsecured notes under its EMTN program in October 2017, as well as prior liability management transactions and other transactional matters.
