Hogan Lovells Represents DDC LPG in $200 Million Acquisition of NGL Energy Partner LP’s Retail Propane Business

Hogan Lovells is advising Dublin, Ireland-based DCC plc (“DCC”), a leading international sales, marketing and support services group on an agreement to acquire a portion of NGL Energy Partners LP’s Retail Propane Business ( “NGL LPG business”) for $200 million in cash.

The acquisition represents DCC’s entry into the U.S. liquefied petroleum gas (“LPG”) market and is a further significant step in DCC’s strategy to build a global LPG business over time.  The acquisition of the NGL LPG business will provide DCC with a substantial, high-quality presence in the U.S. with leading market positions in a number of states.  After being in business for over 70 years, the NGL LPG business has an excellent customer base, a strong and well-invested operational infrastructure and an experienced management team.  The transaction is expected to close in the first quarter of 2018, and is subject to regulatory and other customary closing conditions.
