Houthoff Buruma advised the international asset management company Fidelity International on its entrance in the Dutch pension market. In collaboration with i-Pension Solutions Fidelity International recently started offering a pension product under the name Fidelity Future Wise.

Houthoff Buruma was involved in the drafting of the various agreements. Additionally Houthoff Buruma assisted Fidelity International in obtaining a license as a financial services provider from the AFM. The latter was necessary because extensive consultation with the AFM showed that the existing licenses of Fidelity International were not sufficient for the provision of this particular product (premium pension claims) in the Netherlands. It is reported that Fidelity International is the first party that has been granted a license specifically for this purpose.
