IAC/InterActiveCorp (“IAC”) has divested PriceRunner to NS Intressenter. PriceRunner, founded in 1999, is a price comparison site where consumers can find the lowest prices and compare millions of products. The company has operations and websites in Sweden, Denmark, United Kingdom and Germany and an office in China. PriceRunner has 108 employees.
IAC is a leading media and Internet company comprised of some of the world’s most recognized brands and products, such as HomeAdvisor, Vimeo, About.com, Dictionary.com, The Daily Beast, Investopedia, and Match Group’s online dating portfolio, which includes Match, OkCupid and Tinder. IAC, with more than 5,000 employees worldwide, has over 370 million unique monthly users and more than 2.5 billion monthly visits to its sites. IAC is listed on NASDAQ in the United States.
The owners of NS Intressenter have jointly acquired 100 per cent of the shares in PriceRunner. Behind NS Intressenter are Nordstjernan, Karl-Johan Persson, Nicklas Storåkers and Mikael Lindahl.
IAC was advised by Mannheimer Swartling in the transaction.
