ICU Medical buys Hospira Infusion Systems from Pfizer

Pfizer Inc. has sold its global Hospira Infusion Systems (HIS) business to ICU Medical Inc., the medical equipment manufacturer, for a total amount of around $900 m. The product portfolio sold includes IV pumps, solutions and medical devices. This operation is part of Pfizer’s strategy to refocus on its pharmaceutical portfolio and to divest certain smaller non-core businesses.
