Internet of Things: Clifford Chance advises Software AG on the acquisition of TrendMiner

Leading provider of digital business applications, Software AG, has acquired Belgian industrial analytics company TrendMiner NV. International law firm Clifford Chance has advised Software AG on this technology-driven transaction.

Software AG continues to expand its technology portfolio in the Internet of Things with TrendMiner. Clifford Chance has been advising Software AG as a preferred provider for many years.

TrendMiner was founded in 2008 as a spin-off of K.U. Leuven University in Belgium. The Hasselt-based company specializes in visual data analysis, primarily in the oil and gas, life sciences and manufacturing industries, working for global market leaders such as Total, BASF, Evonik, Covestro and Pfizer.

In addition to the Belgian parent company TrendMiner NV, Software AG also takes over subsidiaries of TrendMiner NV in the USA, the Netherlands and Germany.
