King & Wood Mallesons advised FremantleMedia in a joint venture with BESTV New Media Co., Ltd. (BESTV) and China Media Capital (CMC). This joint venture will be based in Shanghai Free Trade Zone with the purpose of creating and developing entertainment Format for the Chinese market.

King & Wood Mallesons acted as the PRC counsel to FremantleMedia and fully supported all aspects of the deal, including advising on corporate structure, preparation of all transaction documents and attending the negotiation with its business partners. The King & Wood Mallesons team was led by Partner Mr. Zhang Yi and Ms. Song Ruiqiu, supported by Mr. Dong Yuting and Ms. Frances Jin.
