King & Wood Mallesons has advised Plenium Partners Asset Management on its strategic alliance with the financial institution Bankinter for the constitution of Helia, a private equity fund which is aimed at investing in renewable energy assets.

Isabel Rodríguez, Partner and Head of Funds at KWM – Madrid, led the advice to Plenium Partners on this collaboration agreement. Isabel was assisted by Senior Associate Ildefonso Alier.

The new private equity fund, Helia Renovables FCR, has a target size of EUR 200 million. To date, Plenium Partners co-owns and manages a diversified renewable energy portfolio encompassing circa 1,200MW of solar, hydro, solar thermal and wind assets with a total aggregate market value of more than EUR 2,700 million.
