Schroder Real Estate (Schroders) has acquired the well-known and outstanding architectural landmark property Königstadt-Carree near Berlins Alexanderplatz as part of a share deal for an investor. King & Wood Mallesons (KWM) Real Estate team advised Schroders on this transaction. The purchase price was not disclosed.
The Königstadt-Carree measures more than 26.000 m² of office- and hotel space and is rented out to a prominent German company. This property was first planned by STP Architekten and bauart Architekten & Ingenieure after bauart group won a selection process among investors hosted by the city of Berlin.
The seller of the property was bauart Beteiligungsgesellschaft, who constructed the property situated in Mollstraße 31 on the corner of Otto-Braun Straße between 2007 and 2015.
This complex transaction included the complete refinancing of the target company for closing.
KWM’s Real Estate team advises various notable funds and investors not only in Germany but worldwide and is maintaining a longstanding relationship with Schroders both in Germany and Europe.
