King & Wood Mallesons advises Silver Investment Partners on the acquisition of Schüschke GmbH & Co. KG

13 Jan 2016

King & Wood Mallesons (KWM) has advised Silver Investment Partners (SIP) on the acquisition of Schüschke GmbH & Co. KG (Schüschke).

SIP’s acquisition of Schüschke allows the company to lay the foundation for a viable management succession plan. For the time being, the current sole shareholder Uwe Schüschke will remain a minority shareholder alongside SIP and continues to be responsible for the operative business. The purchase price was not disclosed.

SIP is an independent investor for equity-based financing in small and medium-sized companies in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The acquisition of Schüschke is SIP’s first transaction in the aviation industry.

Schüschke, a medium-sized enterprise headquartered in the city of Kirchentellinsfurt, Germany, is a manufacturer of washbasins made of the mineral material Varicor – a material particularly suitable for use in the aviation industry. The company is the exclusive supplier of the Airbus family, including the A380. In addition, Schüschke produces individual washbasins for the public commercial sanitary sector, for example in kindergartens, clinics, laboratories, hotels and other public institutions.

KWM most recently advised SIP on transactions in the precision engineering and bakery industries. Also having advised SIP on this transaction allowed us to contribute our comprehensive expertise in the aerospace sector“, commented Michael Cziesla.
