Spontacts GmbH, the leading recreation and leisure community in Germany and Switzerland, has increased its share capital by close to a seven-figure euro amount from its existing shareholders. The shareholders include the Jochen Schweizer Group and Media Ventures GmbH, as well as the founders and members of the management of the company. King & Wood Mallesons advised Spontacts on this capital increase with respect to corporate and tax law issues.
"The capital increase will allow us to continue to develop the platform with a focus on service optimization and further expansion," says Tom Mühlmann, CEO of Spontacts GmbH.
Spontacts is a free recreation and leisure community that allows anyone to quickly and easily find participants for recreation and leisure activities. The company derives its name from a combination of the words ‘spontaneous’ and ‘activities'. Spontacts was founded in 2011 in Zurich by the three Swiss nationals Florian Specker, Christoph Seitz and Daniel Kästli. In 2012, Scout24 Services GmbH acquired a majority interest in Spontacts. Following the sale in 2014 of the entire stake held by Scout24 Services GmbH to the Jochen Schweizer Group, which is headquartered in Munich, Spontacts GmbH became a part of the Jochen Schweizer Group. King & Wood Mallesons previously advised the Jochen Schweizer Group on the acquisition of the shares of Scout24 Group.
