INTERNOS Global Investors (INTERNOS), the pan-European, owner-run real estate fund manager has acquired the Mercure Hotel in the centre of Hannover for INTERNOS Hotel Immobilien Spezialfonds (INTERNOS Hotel Special Fund). King & Wood Mallesons’ (KWM) hotel team advised INTERNOS Hotel Special Fund on the transaction.
The seller was a fund managed by E&P Real Estate GmbH & Co. KG, based in Cologne, Germany. The hotel is leased on a long term basis to the ACCOR Hotel group.
The INTERNOS Hotel Special Fund was founded in 2012 and primarily invests in 3-4 star hotels in Germany, France, Austria and the Netherlands.
The KWM team advises several notable hotel funds and investors, not only in Germany, but worldwide. They have maintained a longstanding relationship with INTERNOS, most recently advising them on the acquisition of the Triforum in Cologne, Germany: a building complex comprised of office spaces and the ParkInn Hotel City West.
