Lawrence Graham LLP has advised Cenkos Securities Plc ("Cenkos"), financial advisor and broker to Ithaca Energy Inc ("Ithaca"), in relation to its £203 million proposed acquisition of Valiant Petroleum Plc ("Valiant").  Valiant initiated a formal sales process on 6 September 2012 under the regime in the City Code on Takeovers and Mergers as part of its strategic review. On 1 March 2013, Ithaca, an oil and gas operator focused on production, appraisal and development activities in the North Sea, announced that it had agreed terms to acquire Valiant for £203 million by means of a court-sanctioned scheme of arrangement under Part 26 of the Companies Act 2006.  The Lawrence Graham LLP team included Senior Associates Sam Gray, Akhil Sharma and Head of Corporate, partner Geoff Gouriet.
