Linklaters advises Dimension Data on the acquisition of NextiraOne

18 Feb 2014

Linklaters has advised Dimension Data on the acquisition of parts of the NextiraOne Group. The transaction was approved by the European Commission on 9 January 2014 and executed on 30 January 2014. By acquiring the NextiraOne Group, Dimension Data intends to expand its market position in Europe.

Dimension Data (a company within the Japanese NTT Group) is a world-wide leading provider of business solutions, services and management for IT infrastructures. The South African service provider has more than 15,000 employees and over 6,000 customers in more than 50 countries in the global business and technology sector.

NextiraOne Group is the leading specialist of intra-company communications solutions in Europe. It designs, installs, maintains, and supports set ups for call and service centers as well as Unified Communications applications. More than ten years ago, NextiraOne emerged from the previous sales and service organisation of Alcatel. The company group is active in 15 countries, among others in Italy, France, Spain and Great Britain. The branch in Germany, however, is the largest site within the NextiraOne group.

Due to the company structure of NextiraOne, the transaction required international and cross-jurisdictional co-operation.
