The Linklaters Warsaw Real Estate Team has advised UBM Development AG on the EU42m sale of another hotel in Poland to Union Investment, namely the recently opened 250-room Holiday Inn hotel located on Twarda street in the very centre of Warsaw. The hotel, officially opened in December 2017, is one of the most modern buildings in Warsaw with a facade inspired by the iconic Flatiron building in New York.
The building will shortly receive LEED Gold certification. The hotel features an open lobby concept which merges its reception desk, lobby, business centre and 24-hour restaurant and bar into a single cohesive space. Other notable amenities include generous meeting facilities as well as a fitness studio on the 16th floor offering panoramic views of the city.
The transaction was signed in 2015 and closed just yesterday. The Linklaters team advised UBM Development on all aspects of the transaction, including preparation and negotiations of transaction documents up until and including its signing and closing. The Linklaters Warsaw legal team was led by Michal Miecinski (of counsel) with the support of, among others, Monika Lerka (senior associate), Zaneta Rogon (associate), Piotr Borzynski (associate), Mateusz Cieslak (associate), Kacper Piorecki (associate) and Judyta Sawicka (managing associate).
