The investment firm Marlin Equity Partners has sold Bluegarden, a leading provider of payroll systems in Scandinavia, to the Norwegian IT group Visma. Plesner assisted Marlin Equity Partners with the sale.

Bluegarden offers payroll and human resource administration products and provides solutions to small, medium-sized and large enterprises in Denmark, Sweden and Norway. Marlin Equity Partners sells Bluegarden following a recent major turnaround of the company.

Marlin Equity Partners acquired Bluegarden in the autumn of 2015 from a number of Danish banks, also assisted by Plesner.

Visma's acquisition of Bluegarden is the latest of several major acquisitions by the Norwegian IT group.

The transaction is awaiting the final approval of the Danish competition authorities.
