Mayer Brown advises on Bankside office deal

14 Nov 2013

Mayer Brown has advised Boodle Hatfield LLP on its move to new offices in London’s Bankside. The law firm will be taking 24,000 square feet at 240 Blackfriars Road, London SE1, in addition to an office in Mayfair.

Boodle Hatfield will take two ten year leases for the ninth and tenth floors.

The Bankside property is being developed in one of London’s fastest developing areas by the Great Ropemaker Partnership, a 50:50 joint venture between Great Portland Estates and Ropemaker Properties, the property nominee of the BP Pension Fund.

Jeremy Clay, global head of Real Estate, commented: “We’ve advised a number of large occupiers on office moves in London this year, reiterating how attractive central London continues to be. 2013 has been a busy year for our Real Estate team and so we’re delighted to have advised on this move for Boodle Hatfield.”

The Mayer Brown team was led by Jeremy Clay, global head of Real Estate, and included senior associate Rose Meller.
