International law firm McDermott Will & Emery represented Blue Gem Capital Partners LLP,  a London-based private equity fund, in connection with the acquisition of 70% of the share capital of Dr. Vranjes Firenze S.r.l., a leading Italian manufacturer and distributor of diffusers, home fragrances and other interior fragrance products.

Dr. Vranjes is a global luxury brand in the market of interior fragrances. Its products are distributed in over 70 countries and sold in 14 international mono-brand stores and in the most prestigious department stores.

McDermott, together with an Italian law firm Studio Lombardi Segni e Associati, advised BlueGem Capital Partners on most matters regarding the acquisition except for the tax aspects which were handled by Gattai Minoli Agostinelli & Partners. Mc Dermott was an  exclusive legal advisor to BlueGem Capital Partners on the financing of the acquisition.

The cross-border McDermott team was led by London-based Private Equity partner Piero Carbone with the support of Milan partner Ettore Scandale, and included the associates Paolo Cocchini, Gianmarco Scialpi and Marco Contaldi
