Norton Rose Fulbright has advised Sonnedix Italia S.r.l. a company belonging to the Sonnedix Group, an independent solar power producer, on the acquisition of Solar Holding, owner of a portfolio of solar photovoltaic projects in Italy having an aggregate capacity of around 48MWp. The sellers included Diamond Generating Europe (a 100% subsidiary of Mitsubishi Corporation) and Innovation Network Corporation of Japan.
The portfolio comprises 22 solar photovoltaic plants located in four regions: Umbria, Sardinia, Puglia and Piedmont. The transaction is part of Sonnedix’s plan to expand in Italy, where it currently owns and manages a solar portfolio of close to 68MWp.
The Norton Rose Fulbright team was led by head of the banking and finance and energy practices in Italy, Arturo Sferruzza (partner, Milan). The team also included Milan-based Marcello Ciampi and Luigi Costa (senior associates), Ginevra Biadico (associate), Lisa Rancitelli and Gloria Vigilante (trainees).
