Olswang advised Groupe Bertrand, the majority stakeholder in Burger King France, on its acquisition of hamburger restaurant chain Quick from Qualium Investissement, (CDC Groupe), which was announced in September 2015 with the opening of exclusive negotiations.
As Burger King's exclusive franchisee since its return to the French market in 2012, Groupe Bertrand will progressively rebrand most of the Quick restaurants in France as Burger King. This transaction makes Groupe Bertrand the second biggest fast food restaurant group in France. Restaurants located outside of France will remain under the Quick brand.
