Osborne Clarke advises BBS Automation on the acquisition of ixmation

Conzzeta AG sells its automation group ixmation to BBS Automation GmbH. The transfer is retroactive to July 1, 2014.

ixmation employed 359 staff worldwide at the end of 2013 and posted sales of CHF 41.8 million. The company has an excellent reputation for high quality automation solutions for assembly and testing technology.

The BBS Automation Group employs around 540 employees at 9 locations in Europe, North America and Asia. The globally active company provides innovative and flexible solutions in the field of automated assembly and test technology as well as wet-chemical surface treatment. With the acquisition of ixmation, the Group extends its international network.

A team of Osborne Clarke led by corporate partner Matthias Elser advised BBS automation on this transaction. The team included Nathalie Zag, Frederik Fragemann (both M&A Corporate), Dr Gerd Hoor and Nico Schley (both tax). The firm also coordinated lawyers in Switzerland, the USA and Malaysia.
