Osborne Clarke advises Dixons Carphone on the disposal of The Phone House to Drillisch

International legal practice, Osborne Clarke has advised Dixons Carphone plc on the disposal of The Phone House Germany GmbH to Drillisch AG.

Dixons Carphone is Europe's leading specialist electrical and telecommunications retailer and services company. The company, headquartered in London, offers a comprehensive range of electrical and mobile products, connectivity and expert after-sales services. The mobile retailer Phone House recently generated a turnover of about 350 million euros in Germany. The company annually conveys mobile and fixed-network contracts for more than one million clients.

Drillisch acquires all shares in The Phone House. The Sale and Purchase Agreement is subject to approval by antitrust authorities. It is expected to be completed by the end of May. The purchase price consists of two components: shares in the Drillisch AG which represent about three per cent of the voting capital and surpluses from the operating cash flow of The Phone House.
