Osborne Clarke advised the shareholders of Cognifide Limited, a marketing technology consultancy, on the disposal of a majority stake to WPP.
Cognifide specialises in content management and digital asset management technology and is a leading consulting and implementation partner for the Adobe Experience Manager platform and Sitecore. The acquisition of a majority stake by WPP reflects an on-going trend of agencies looking to acquire resilient and scalable digital marketing solutions to help build and implement their clients’ digital platforms and to meet client expectations for increased simplicity, measurability and effectiveness in their digital marketing strategies.
The Osborne Clarke team was led by Partner Tim Birt who was assisted by Mathias Loertscher (corporate), Erika Jupe (tax), Karen Cooper and Jeremy Cavendish (options) and Camilla Fell (employment).
This is the eighth transaction that Osborne Clarke has advised on in the Advertising and Marketing sector this year. Other highlights include the sale of digital network Profero to IPG's Lowe to form Lowe Profero and the sale of We Are Social to Blue Focus.
