Osborne Clarke advises Synchronite on acquisition by LivePerson

12 Aug 2014

LivePerson, Inc., a leading provider of live digital engagement solutions, acquires Germany-based start-up Synchronite, a leading provider of co-browsing technology

Integrating the co-browsing technology to LivePerson's platform will enhance the real-time dialogue between businesses and customers, for example via video chats. It enables a couple of users to access the same web view simultaneously. Synchronite had been founded in 2008 by Christian Thum and Stefan Seedorf.

LivePerson offers a cloud-based platform for businesses to proactively connect in real-time with their customers through the right channel, including websites, social media, and mobile devices.

An Osborne Clark Team led by Munich M&A partner Philip Meichssner advised Synchronite on this transaction. The team also included Frederik Fragemann (M&A), Dr Tim Reinhard (IP), Dr Hendrik Schöttle (IT) and Vincent Moser (Employment).
