International law firm Osborne Clarke is assisting long-standing client Carphone Warehouse on its conditional £500 million acquisition of the remaining 50 per cent of its Best Buy joint venture as announced on the LSE’s website: http://www.londonstockexchange.com/exchange/news/market-news/market-new… .
The cash element of the acquisition is being financed through a combination of a new £250m debt facility and institutional placing (http://www.londonstockexchange.com/exchange/news/market-news/market-new…).
The transaction is being led by Carphone Warehouse general counsel Tim Morris, assisted by lawyers from Osborne Clarke, led by equity capital markets Partner Jonathan King. The OC team also includes Louise Grzasko, Jake Turcan, Matthew Bodfield and corporate tax Partner Michael Bell.
