Akin is pleased to announce that private equity partner Andrew Lehman has rejoined the firm as a partner in Akin’s Houston office. The addition of Lehman not only adds to the firm’s private equity practice, but also further strengthens the firm’s energy sector experience in Houston.
Lehman advises private equity and infrastructure funds in complex mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, structured equity transactions and management equity arrangements. He represents clients in a variety of industries, including traditional energy and energy transition, information technology, healthcare, manufacturing, consumer products and financial and business services.
“We’re delighted to welcome Andy back to the firm,” said Akin chairperson Kim Koopersmith. “As we continue to grow our private equity practice, we are particularly fortunate to have someone we know is a terrific colleague and highly respected as a skilled lawyer return to us. This is an exciting opportunity to help our clients navigate transactional opportunities across a variety of sectors.”
“Andy is a talented dealmaker and is an excellent addition to our private equity team,” added corporate practice co-head Zachary Wittenberg. “His experience representing investors in complex transactions including cutting-edge energy investments will be a great asset to our clients.”
“There is outstanding momentum at Akin and I’m thrilled to return to the firm. Akin’s collaborative culture and its top tier platform for private equity investors is a terrific fit for my clients and practice. I am excited to rejoin my colleagues,” said Lehman on his move.
Lehman rejoins Akin from McDermott Will & Emery. He is the latest new partner in Akin’s Houston office after the firm added energy transactions partner Ian Goldberg in April.
