Nancy joins expanding Los Angeles team; brings 20 years of class action and investigations experience.
Global law firm Baker McKenzie has added highly regarded commercial litigator Nancy Nguyen Sims as a Partner in Los Angeles, as the Firm continues to expand its offerings in southern California.
Nancy brings more than 20 years of experience in commercial litigation with a focus on complex business disputes and investigations. Nancy has extensive experience defending class actions in the consumer, franchise, insurance and labor and employment spaces. She has successfully defended dozens of class actions in various sectors and defended companies in bet-the-company cases, including class and representative actions in the franchise arena. Nancy also brings experience in high-stakes litigation, having handled multiple matters involving an amount in controversy exceeding USD 100 million.
In addition, Nancy has deep experience conducting corporate internal investigations and government investigations, including those implicating the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and UK Bribery Act. She joins Baker McKenzie from DLA Piper and will be a member of the Firm's North America Litigation & Government Enforcement Practice and its Global Disputes Practice.
